Trendy Rain Boots

Rain boots should never be worn for fashion purposes. Fashion designers (such as Betsey Johnson among many others) have made their own fashionable rain boots. Those who dislike rain boots (at least fashionable ones) think that such boots shouldn't even be worn on days when it's not rainy and miserable outside. Think about this... which rain boots would you rather wear?

(all pictures from amazon.com)? Many femmes have gone along with rain boots because of their artistic designs on the boots. Rain boots for kids isn't an issue- the fun and colorful designs are timeless. But when it comes to wearing rain boots as stylish shoes, wearing rain boots on days that aren't wet can be crazy.

Why would you want to pay three-figures for a pair of boots you'll probably only (realistically) wear on wet days? I remember one time that I saw a teen girl on a very hot day here in Houston tucking her pant legs into her rain boots. No rain was expected for the rest of the day, and I have to imagine the girl's feet were probably sweaty wearing rubber boots on a hot day. I don't really see why you'd want to wear such boots other than to look stylish going through puddles or flooded areas. Even still, you'd need proper rain boots to ford through waters than these fashionable rain boots.

Here is a widget with many kinds of rain boots, including the fashionable ones I mentioned. If there isn't a pair you like here, I recommend you click on the items in this widget:

What do you make of these trendy rain boots? Are they fun because of their designs, or at they tacky since they are just rain boots, in an effort to try to make rain boots chic?
