Would IndyCar be Better at Lime Rock Park than Loudon?

It was announced recently that the IndyCar Series would race around the New Hampshire International Speedway starting next year. While it's great for IndyCar to get more northeastern love, part of me says that Lime Rock Park would be a better fit. The reason why is because I think the New Hampshire International Speedway is just too boring. NASCAR fans keep saying that Pocono is boring, but at least Pocono is a different kind of oval. The NHIS oval in Loudon, New Hampshire, USA is just boring.

Why Lime Rock Park instead of New Hampshire International Speedway? Lime Rock Park is the best race track in the American Northeast. The track in Lakeville, Connecticut, USA is a tricky and competitive racing facility. At least Lime Rock Pack has character to it for this 1.53-mile, 7-turn road course. A problem with Lime Rock Park for some series is that the track doesn't offer enough pit boxes. Well with the 26 or so cars that make up the IndyCar Series roster, there would be no problem filling up the boxes with the cars and stars of the IndyCar Series.

Now I can think of a reason why you'd probably want Loudon instead of Lime Rock Park- audiences. Lime Rock Park is more like... a park (that's no disrespect because it's so beautiful there), and with the grandstands at NHIS, you can fill up a lot of seats with great racing on the Magic Mile. I'm not as antagonistic about ovals in the IndyCar Series because IndyCar, unlike NASCAR, has a very even balance of oval and road/street courses. The IndyCar Series delivers no shortage of hard-fought racing. If you want to have racing in the American northwest, I think Lime Rock Park is a much more interesting and challenging alternative than the boring Magic Mile.

But, that's just me. What do YOU think? Would you rather see the IndyCar Series at Lime Rock Park or the Magic Mile to represent the American northeast in IndyCar? Pass along some comments!
