Rival Sons

Rival Sons is a group I've recently become fond of. If you are a fan of the IZOD IndyCar Series, you may have seen last year's IZOD commercials where "Tell Me Something" plays. Recent commercials for Jeremiah Weed premium malt beverage have featured Rival Sons. I have later learned that the Rival Sons' song in the Jeremiah Weed commercials is called "Get Mine." This will not be a detailed post. Instead, it will just be a mostly quick post just to get it out there. I may edit it in the future to make it more of a quality post.

--- Rival Sons ---
For what I've read online, Rival Sons is a Los Angeles, CA, USA-based rock group that formed back in 2008. I really think the group under the Earache Records label is a great-sounding group. Many people more in tune to rock music than I am (MUCH more so than I am) say that Rival Sons is a revival of '70s rock in the 21st Century. They are just very cool to listen to in my view. They do have a classic rock-style edge.

So who are Rival Sons? Here are the members (according to their Myspace page):
• Jay Buchanan (Vocals)
• Scott Holiday (Guitars)
• Robin Everhart (Bass)
• Miley (NOT Miley Cyrus, mind you!) (Drums)

I mentioned "Tell Me Something" earlier. Here is a sample of Rival Sons' music. You may remember this if you've seen last year's IZOD commercials for the IndyCar Series:

Cool, huh? I've tried to find a video of "Get Mine," but I was unable to find one. I have, however, found this song that introduces Rival Sons to you via Jeremiah Weed Films: "Jeremiah Weed Films -- Rivals Sons" on YouTube.

--- What I Would Tell Rival Sons (if they read this blog post) ---
Besides Switchfoot and The Heavy, you're one of the coolest rock groups I've recently gotten into the past few years. Your music is great to listen to. This, speaking as a person who does not normally listen to rock music all the time. Keep up the great work and best wishes to all of you in future endeavors!
