Bangles and Bracelets

(LAST UPDATED: June 8, 2011)

You have the right to bear arms! Baring your arms for warmer weather, of course! One of the best ways to dress up the arms is with bracelets. But if you want something a bit more interesting, try bangles! You can wear a few of them, or wear a lot of them. They are great for dressing the arms on warmer days. I'll share some bangles and bracelets later in this blog entry.

I intended on discussing only bangles, but I want to offer bracelets into my discussion as well.

--- Bracelets and Bangles at a Glance ---
Bangles are essentially bracelets, only that so many of them can be worn at a time to dress up the wrists. As I've learned by looking around on the Internet, the big difference between bangles and bracelets is that bracelets are flexible, while bangles are not. Bangles are perfectly circular. Let's see a few examples of both bangles and bracelets. Here are some pictures for you all. And I must note... it's always tough finding suitable images for me to feature for this blog entry. So bear with me:

^ (from: polyvore.com) - This is a set of silvery bangles.

Bracelets don't have to be the of the expensive variety. You have your share of plastic bracelets that can still be very fun to wear.

This is a very casual bracelet somewhat quintessential of Bohemian (I hate "boho") chic. I cant' really share with you any beautiful bracelets. So you'll have to look at my sections below to see more! :P

--- What to Wear These With? ---
I'm preparing a future blog entry regarding a look with bangles. This space will be edited to include more information on what goes good with these. So stay tuned!

But basically... this is good for any sleeveless top or dress. Bottoms and footwear will depend, but the key is on a pair of lovely bangles or bracelet(s).

--- Let's Find Some Bangles and Bracelets! ---
NOTE: This section contains links to Amazon products. You are welcome to click on images and links to learn more about each item. You are free to order any items featured in this section or in any widget if you choose. Please see "An Important Amazon Note" in my blog's sidebar to see more information on any Amazon items shown.

--- Bangles ---
Most bangle packs are inexpensive (unless you're willing to splurge). So here are some bangles I've found on Amazon. At least check out the items I feature. If there are none you can find that I've featured, please check out my Search widget towards the end of this blog entry.

Non-Metallic Bangles.

^ Here is a pack of seven Cloisonné bangles. They all come in various colors along with lovely flower designs. This is a relatively inexpensive way to give your wrists a little edge of cute.

^ If you're the type that prefers to make your own bangles, this is your best chance to make your own pack of bangles. The Beachcombers! Build-a-Bangle Collection allows you to make your own glass Indian bangles. These can be for dressing your arms up for a day around town, or even to wear as belly dancing accessories. There are MANY colors to choose from (over 60+ colors, and yes... there are well over 60 colors as I actually took count of these)! It means that you should have no problem picking a pair of bangles in a color you love.

^ Were some of the previous bangles too cute? Well, Harley-Davidson's pack of bangles makes you one bad, bike-ridin' mama. These are leather bangles with various adornments.

Metallic Bangles.

^ So many cute details adorn these bangles. This is for that girl who wants to dress her wrists with a lovely and sparkly set of bangles. If you like this pack of bangles in silver, you should also see these G by Guess bangles in Gold!

^ Need a stylish way to remember the Lord's Prayer? This single bangle bracelet is a stylish way to remember the Lord's Prayer. This is for the religiously stylish diva.

^ Most bangles can be noisy to have on your wrists as you walk by. This one is a "quieter" alternative. This set is still pretty stylish for what they are.

I have some more bangles to feature later in this blog entry. It will be part of the "Just for Fun" line, as they are pretty expensive. Now on to bracelets.

--- Bracelets ---
Remember earlier that bracelets are more flexible while bangles are not. Here are a variety of bracelets. I won't feature any expensive ones in this section.

Non-Metallic Bracelets.

It's special I begin with this:

^ Here is the LIVESTRONG rubber wristband bracelet in Adult size. This is a good way to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It's a good way to show support for one of my fellow Texans, (born in Plano, TX), Lance Armstrong.

^ These are bracelets you can wear if you're heading out to a party.

Metallic Bracelets.

Now on to showcase some women's bracelets for you all.

^ Both inexpensive and beautiful, this Links of Love bracelet is a lovely way to show some love. This toggle bracelet also comes in gold.

^ This is an inexpensive tennis bracelet with priceless style and charm. Treat yourself (or have your boyfriend/fiancé/husband treat you ladies!) with this lovely tennis bracelet. Deliver that overhead smash to show some style.

^ Equally stylish, this sterling silver bracelet has various Celtic designs for a very lovely appearance.

I thank you for reading my blog entry! Find more bangles in my widgets below. Please remember to click on any item that interests you.

I had planned on doing a "Just for Fun" entry featuring very expensive bangles and bracelets. But unfortunately, I scrapped those ideas. But let me tell you... the most expensive either bangle or bracelet I found on Amazon costs $1,098,900 USD! There are probably bracelets more expensive than this not even sold on Amazon, but that's if you SERIOUSLY have money to burn.

Thanks for reading! Now go look fabulous! :)
