Oxford Pumps

Oxford pumps can be thought of as the lace-up alternative to pumps. Oxfords alone are lace-up shoes with their own style. Pumps are purely feminine with heels ranging from flat to high heels. Combine the two, and you get oxford pumps. What makes them so stylish? While I don't really like lace-up women's shoes all that much, oxford pumps are something a bit different from your average slip-on pumps. They exude a level of femininity while offering a very chic touch. So often, you look around on fashion blogs and stuff like Lookbook and see females wearing oxford pumps with tights or tall socks. Oxford pumps can also work for those looking for menswear-inspired fashion. This blog entry will feature oxford pumps. Now you've seen oxford pumps in pictures. I've actually tried to find some females wearing oxford pumps, but there weren't too many good ones I wanted to feature here.

--- What Do Oxford Pumps Go Well With? ---

Ladies from fashion blogs usually wear these with short skirts/dresses along with tights or socks. For many, it's something different to wear from tradtional pumps or sandals. I usually prefer slip-on pumps than any lace-up pumps, but there are a number of different outfits to go with them. I mentioned pairing these with slacks. This is another case where you could wear these lace-up pumps rather than slip-on pumps. I've even seen these worn with shorts or rompers/playsuits.

There are many options if you love oxford pumps and want to find various outfits to wear them with. Since oxford pumps are chic to me, I'd avoid wearing anything extremely casual. So don't wear your T-shirt of some rock band and skinny jeans to wear with oxford pumps. Most of the ones that really shine with oxford pumps are the really fashion-conscious ladies.


As I said earlier, I'm not really crazy about oxford pumps, but I know there are lots of you femmes out there who do. So I'm going to try to show you some oxford pumps that you may like. Oxford Pumps on Amazon.

^ Miz Mooz is the maker of these Alana oxford pumps. They come in either black or brown with sizes ranging from 6 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US. Try some long pants with voluminous legs (like some slacks or some palazzo pants) with these. They are pretty classy oxford pumps. Then too, bootcut or flare jeans wouldn't hurt with these either.


^ While these pumps are called Open Up, these oxford pumps from Nicole come in four different colors. There are very small openings that adorn these oxfords. There is a chunky wooden heel that goes with these oxford pumps. Try pairing these shoes with anything from jeans to pants, skirts, and dresses. Four colors are available for these oxford pumps. Sizes for all colors range between 6 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US. Check for availability of these oxford pumps in whatever color interests you.


^ These are oxfords from Rampage called Kassy. Kassy is sassy and classy as she is a pair of classy oxford pumps. They only come in black with sizes in 6.5 B(M) US and 10 B(M) US.


^ FRYE makes these oxford pumps. While they come in two colors, they are two multicolored styles. These don't come cheap, so have some money on hand if you love these. Sizes range from 5.5 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US.


^ Rate these Not Rated "Larger Than Life" oxford pumps any way you want. These are leather oxford pumps with faux snakeskin. They come in three different colors and are a chic alternative to any basic dressy oxfords. Sizes range from 6 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US for these. Are you a larger than life diva? These may be your oxford pumps if so.


^ In what looks like a combination of a suede pair of high-heel pumps with an oxford portion, you get these Kopin Kid suede lace-up oxford pumps from Chinese Laundry. It is a super-chic pair of pumps that also are sexy oxfords. The these are platform pumps with a rather thick heel to them and snakeskin designs on the platform sole and platform heel. ^ A square-toe design and some reptile skin make up these Daring oxford pumps from Carlos by Carlos Santana. These are oxford pumps that are more like pumps than any traditional oxford. In it, you'll have a lovely combination of lovely pumps accompanied by an oxford lace-up section. Check to see if your pumps are available in any of the two colors it comes in, and they also come in sizes ranging from 5.5 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US.


^ Find your poodle skirts, ladies! The saddle shoe just got a chic makeover! Rather than just white/black saddle shoes, these saddle shoes come in two brown colors in addition to white/black. So there are three choices for these. Do you love these shoes? If so, know that sizes range from 6 B(M) US to 11 B(M) US. Now if only poodle skirts can have as much a chic makeover as these oxford pumps...


^ If you fancy open-toe oxford pumps, try these from Jessica Simpson. They are called "Kain." The Kain oxford pumps try to blend slingback peep-toes with a lace-up oxford design. If you love the end result, buy these pumps in any of the two available colors (Black or Mahogany). Sizes for both range from 6 B(M) US to 10 B(M) US.
