Growing Up Too Fast?

While there are those who think that times have changed, some think some of today's young stars are growing up too fast. Maybe you're a regular watcher of Maury, and you see teenage girls as young as 13 and as old as 16 who are out of control- abusing their mother and family, smoking and drinking, having wild sex, and things like that. Heck, I remember when Maury had out of control CHILDREN on the show back in the late 1990s. A person who is likely the biggest grown-too-fast in today's media is Miley Cyrus. However, there are some who'll say that Dakota Fanning is a star who's grown up too fast. While I'm not any kind of Miley fanatic (though I do like Hannah Montana), I do become a bit uneasy about how a teenager on a wildly popular children's comedy can also be one of the ones commonly ranted on for not dressing and acting her age. The one who seems to be next in the "grown too fast" club is Dakota Fanning.

Does it seem like some teen celebrities (and maybe even some child celebrities) are growing up too fast? Are some non-celebrity children and teens are growing up too fast?
